How the Aaron Teaches system works:
You may be wondering how our system works.
Anything you can reach at our site without a password is free!
We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures, listening to the different teachers, and reading the text.
Our goal is to present materials for you to study and enjoy.
Option 1 Payment
If you would like to take a lesson with a teacher at our site, please email the teacher and work it out with them. There is no charge for this. You can pay the teacher fee via PayPal.
However, we are not certain what rate you and your teacher will agree upon. Our example below is for 2,400 yen for two thirty minute sessions. Please note that if you pay your teacher directly, there is no consumption tax.
We recommend that you schedule lessons with your teacher twice a week for thirty minutes. Two lessons in a week would be better for your language learning than one lesson a week for one hour.
Here is an Option 1 payment example:

Option 2 Payment
If you would like us to help, we will be happy to. We can introduce you to a teacher, and you can pay us at our bank here in Japan before you start lessons with your new teacher. We can then pay the teacher at the end of each month after you finish the monthly lessons. This provides some security
for you and the teacher. For this service, there will be an extra 10% charge to you and 5% consumption tax. We will then pay the teacher 80% of what we receive from you. Naturally, this does not include consumption tax.
However, we are not certain what rate you and your teacher will agree upon. Our example is for 2,400 yen for two thirty minute sessions. We recommend that you schedule lessons with your teacher twice a week for thirty minutes. Two lessons in a week would be better for your language learning. Once a
week for one hour would be less effective.

If you select the second option, we require your agreement and that of the teacher for us to decide on a compromise in case there is any disagreement between you and the teacher.
Teaching rates vary depending on you, the teacher, and what you would like to do. Most of our teachers start at 2,400 yen an hour, although some may be higher.
Please remember that there are a wide variety of ways to take lessons. While most teachers have videochat, there may be some who only offer audiochat. Some teachers also use Skype. With cheap telephone rates, some may also be available for telephone lessons.
Aaron Teaches is set up for serving students and teachers over the Internet, not for their meeting. Should a teacher actually live near you and you do discuss meeting for a lesson in person, please use your common sense when meeting new people. We strongly suggest you meet in a public place with
your new teacher.
If we can be of assistance, we look forward to hearing from you.
Have fun, and best wishes,
I. Shirley
