Anders lives in Portland, Oregon. He has traveled and lived in Alaska, Canada, the United States, and Mexico. He is an English teacher. Anders has taught English in Oregon and Mexico. Anders likes nature and the outdoors. He is happy to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

This is a picture taken of me while walking in a wooded park close to my home. I really enjoy walking among the trees and plant life. We are fortunate in the Pacific Northwest to live in a wonderland of flora.

This picture was taken one late afternoon just before sunset. You can see in the background the city resting at the bottom of the valley. Beautiful, isn't it?

At the moment this picture was taken, I was enjoying the ambience of an open-air cafe, and the company of some people dear to me.

Seeing old friends
Here is a photo of me listening to a friend. The night this was taken I had met with some friends after not seeing them for a couple of years. It looks like I was quite interested in what my friend had to say.

Hello,

My name is Anders. I live in the city of Portland, Oregon. I was born in Portland, and have lived in the Pacific Northwest most of my life. This part of North America is beautiful. I am lucky to have traveled and lived in Alaska, British Columbia, the western United States, and Mexico.

I am a teacher. I teach English as a Second Language. I have taught international students from Japan and other countries studying here at Oregon universities. I have a Masters degree in Education and in teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Introduction for Intermediate and Advanced Students

Hi,

My name is Anders. I live in the evergreen Willamette Valley of the Pacific Northwest, in the city of Portland, Oregon. I have lived and worked in this area most of my life. I am fortunate, too, to have had the opportunity to travel on the great continent of North America: from northern Alaska to the high valleys and western coastlines of southern Mexico.

Having earned a Masters degree in Education and a postgraduate certificate in Language Acquisition, I now teach here in Portland. I am interested in branching out to offer English conversation and advanced language development sessions online.

I haven't traveled to Japan, and I don't speak Japanese, but I would be happy to establish contact and a working, friendly relationship with English language learners in Japan, or elsewhere in the world. I have had good experiences teaching international students here in Oregon and in Mexico.
